Obituary of Martin Ohradan Martin A. Ohradan, age 85, of Easton, loving husband of Mary Rescsanski Ohradan, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Martin was born in his home in Easton on April 22, 1933, son of the late Martin and Susan Filip Ohradan and was an Easton resident for most of his life. He graduated from Bassick High School, Class of 1951.

He then went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, 1st ANGLICO, during the Korean War. After his service he attended the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1958. Martin enjoyed his exciting, wide-ranging career as a Connecticut State Trooper and, after 34 years of service, retired as Sergeant of the Western District Major Crime Squad.

He was a member of the Connecticut State Police Alumni Association and the VFW Post 10273. Martin was an avid woodworker, enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, caring for his home and yard, and spending time with his family and pets. In addition to Mary, his beloved wife of 64 years, he is survived by his sons, Martin J. Ohradan and his wife Siobhan Smith and Michael A. Ohradan and his wife Sharon, all of Easton, daughters Suzanne Ohradan Forsell and her husband Raymond of South Burlington, VT, Anne Ohradan Gibson of Troy, NY, Theresa Ohradan of Easton and Janet and David Kardos of Newtown.

He leaves behind his grandchildren, Adrianna, Stephen and Martin Ohradan, Ellen Barraco and her husband Justin, Rebecca, Christopher and his wife Kate, and Jennifer Forsell, Charles and his fiancé Sara, Douglas and Michael Gibson, great-grandchildren Noah Forsell and Lillie Gibson as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Elsie Valovich and Adele Bryant and a son-in-law David Gibson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:15 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd.

, Fairfield Center and at 11 am in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, White Plains Rd. , Trumbull. Burial will follow in Aspetuck Cemetery, Easton with full Military Honors.

Calling hours will be held on Friday in the Funeral Home from 3-7 pm.
