Marvel Maria Louise Ziegelman February 12, 1927 – December 27, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Marvel Maria Louise Ziegelman, 91 of Wahpeton, ND formerly of Great Bend, ND passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a double funeral service with her husband Raymond at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, ND. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Andy Ziegelman, Timothy Schmuck, Darin Prochnow, Jamie Hermes, Jon Holzhauer & Alexis Krause. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Marvel Maria Louise Pasbrig was born on February 12, 1927 in Brandenburg Township, ND to Walter and Alma (Bohn) Pasbrig.

She was baptized on February 27, 1927 by Pastor Hinck at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, ND. She was confirmed on May 19, 1940 there by Rev. Rengstorf.

She attended Brandenburg Schools, took High School correspondence and attended Valley City State Teachers College for a year. Marvel was united in marriage to Raymond Ziegelman on September 6, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church. They lived on the farm with her father, who passed away in 1981.

She was a homemaker, caretaker and worked as an aide at St. Gerard’s Hospital from 1973-1979. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. For her church, she was LWML secretary for many years.

Raymond and Marvel left the farm to live at the Leach Home in Wahpeton, ND on October 5, 2011. She was at St. Catherine’s Home from December 15, 2016 until January 5, 2018 when she moved to St. Francis Home in Breckenridge, MN to be with Raymond. They were married for sixty-five years.

Raymond died on December 25 and she died December 27, 2018. Marvel is survived by her children: Wanda (Paul) Zietlow of Hankinson, ND and Brian (Candy) Ziegelman of Great Bend, ND; four grandchildren: Sarah (Tim) Schmuck; Amy (Tim) Cookman; Diana (Jamie) Hermes; Andy (Carmen) Ziegelman; five great grandchildren: Christian Schmuck, Alexis Krause, Hadley Hermes, Kasey & Kambry Cookman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and her parents, Walter and Alma Pasbrig.
