Dixon May 04, 1925 – December 17, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card It is with great sorrow that we announce that Mary Anita Dixon peacefully passed away surrounded by her beloved family on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the age of 93. Mary was born on May 4, 1925, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Chester A. Baker and Anita C. de Baca Baker. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert J. Dixon of Philadelphia.

Mary is survived by her two children; her son, Michael R. Dixon, and wife, Sharon of Levittown, PA. and her daughter, Suzanne Droney, and husband, Ken of Blairsville, Ga. She was a loving sister to her brothers; Chester, Alvar, Elmer, and Lindy.

Mary will be greatly missed by her 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mary graduated from Kensington High School. She married her adored husband, Robert in 1950.

Her career consisted of a telephone operator, bakery clerk, homemaker, and loving mother and grandmother. Mary was an outgoing woman who was a devout Roman Catholic all of her life before the decline of her health. She also enjoyed a very active lifestyle going on trips, crafting and watching Philadelphia sports on television.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a person who enjoyed talking to you and telling stories about her life and her family. She had a passion for playing Bingo with her friends. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:15 am to 11:15 am on Friday, December 21, 2018, at St. Andrew Church 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, Pa.

18940 followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa. 19020.
