Obituary for Mary Alice Bledsoe RICHMOND, Ind. – Mary Alice Bledsoe, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 3, 2018, at Golden Living Center – Richmond. Mary was born April 7, 1924, in Moberly, Missouri, to Charles Raymond and Anna Alice Hayden Atkins.

She moved to this community in 1944, where she began working at Belden and later as a beautician in her home. Mary and her husband then relocated to Piqua, Ohio, where she worked at Allen A Company. Mary moved back to Richmond in 2009.

Survivors include her daughters, Tauni R. (Jim Pittman) Walters and Cherlyn D. Smith, both of Richmond; son, Terry F. (Trudy) Bledsoe of Richmond; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Maxine Fox of Nevada; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Elmer F. Bledsoe, who died October 23, 2006; sons-in-law, Jack Walters and Curtis Smith; granddaughter, Lisa Wagers; grandson, Jeffrey Walters; parents; sister, Norma Krupa; and brother, Charles Atkins. Visitation for Mary Alice Bledsoe will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to: AseraCare Hospice, 4427 Garwood Place, Richmond, IN 47374.
