Mary Alice “Butch” Putnam 93 of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Weirton Medical Center. Mary worked as a book keeper for Harry Thornburn Inc., was owner of Leisure Time Crafts with her husband and attended East Springfield U.M Church of the Cross. She enjoyed crafts and loves crocheting.

She was a member of LaBelle Chapter #414 Order of the Eastern Star. Mary was born September 22, 1924 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Jennie (Clifton) Burchfield. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Putnam.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Leo) Quinn of Mingo Jct. , OH and Sheryl (Wiley) Dave Maple of Toronto, OH; step-son, Gerald (Sally) Putnam; step-daughters, Ione (David) Magsig and Judy (Delbert) Tisdale; sister, Margaret Achhammer; brothers, William “Bum” Burchfield and James (Zelda) Burchfield; six grandchildren, Michael (Ronnette) Quinn, Walter Quinn, Tricia(Derek) Rogers, Tom (Della) Wiley, Jennie (Carl) Scott and Ron (Jamie) Wiley; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond, Ohio on Friday from 5-8 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 PM with Pastor Sam Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen, St. Paul Church, 415 Adams St., Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
