Mary “Ann” Begley, age 68 of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 19, 2019. She was a loving wife of 28 years, loving mother, and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family. Ann also enjoy the outdoors.
She loved to fish, ride four wheelers, and hunting. She is preceded in death by husband Wayne Begley; daughters Domini Christine Begley and Kathleen Iris Begley; parents Elmus “Wooly” and Evelyn “Kitty” (Lay) Gaylor. She is survived by sons Anthony Wayne Gaylor of Jacksboro and Allen Timothy Thompson of Caryville; daughters Tammy Wynette Smartt & husband Barry of Rocky Top, Tracy Lynn Johnson of Jacksboro; brothers Dean Lay & wife Pat of Florida, Jerry Gaylor of Jacksboro, Elmus Gaylor Jr. of Caryville; sisters Alma Lawson & husband Alan of Jacksboro, Peggy Smallwood of Caryville, Kathy Copeland & husband Mike of Jacksboro, Tammy Kay Gould of Virginia; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Adam Hunley officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:45 AM Friday, February 22, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to New Canaan Cemetery for the 12 PM interment.
