Mary Ann Jakoubek was born July 19, 1923, in Langdon, ND, to Lou and Ann (Bata) Jakoubek. She grew up in the Langdon area and graduated from St. Alphonsus School.

On October 19, 1942, Mary Ann was united in marriage to William Geisen in Dresden, ND. They farmed and raised their family on the farm northwest of Langdon. Mary Ann enjoyed all sort of crafts and, years ago, used to go to many craft shows with her daughter, Dianne, to sell their wares.

She also enjoyed beads, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, baking, and gardening. Mary Ann was a former 4-H leader, a member of Homemakers Club, and belonged to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and their altar society. Surviving Mary Ann are her children: Kathleen Malott of Castle Rock, CO, Larry (Linda) Geisen of Langdon, and Barbara (Ken) McDaniel of Santa Maria, CA; grandchildren: Scott Malott, Melissa Crockett (Michael), Tonya (Casey) Johnson, Jessica (Jason) Chaffin, Michael (Megan) Geisen, William (Melissa) Geisen, Chad (Xennia) McDaniel and Eric McDaniel (Brittany); six great-grandchildren; siblings Agnes Biewer and Walter Jakoubek along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William; sons Jerry, Rodney, and Dennis; daughter Dianne; grandson Jamie Geisen; and sisters Betty Muhs and Dorothy Jakoubek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Langdon.
