Mary Ann’s Obituary Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother age 96 passed away Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Huron Woods Nursing Center. Mary Ann was born in Auburn, Michigan on April 4, 1922 to the late Bernard and Martha (Wazny) Wittbrodt and had resided in this area all of her life. Mary Ann was an active member of St. Gabriel Parish (St. Joseph Site-Auburn) and K of C 3590 Auxillary.

Mary Ann was a 4-H Leader for years and enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing and knitting, with her latest creations always on display in her home, and was a wonderful cook. On September 27, 1952 she married Neil Periard, he predeceased her on August 26, 2001. Surviving are eight children, Christine Shackley (Joe Bickel), Margo Phillips, Michael (Lori) Periard, Gregory (Merri) Periard, Stephen Periard, Anita (Tom) Sheckler, Kelly (Douglas) Wirsing, Lisa (Jeffrey) Nalazek, 20 grandchildren,3 great grandchildren, and 6 brothers and sisters, Carolyn Igowsky, Betty Sczepanski, Thomas (Carole) Wittbrodt, William (Kathleen) Wittbrodt, Dorothy (James) Robbins, Margaret (Jack) Woods, and son-in-law Larry Shackley.

She was pre-deceased by Neil Periard, Bernard (Ann) Wittbrodt, James (Ruth) Wittbrodt, Robert Wittbrodt, Donald (Mery) Wittbrodt, Kenneth Wittbrodt, Francis Sczpanski, and son-in-law Charles Phillips. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 22, 2018 at St. Gabriel Parish (East Campus-Auburn) Rev. Fr.

Thomas E. Sutton will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery (Kawkawlin). Mary Ann’s family will receive friends at the Auburn Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. On Saturday morning Mary Ann will lie in state at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy, envelopes for St. Gabriel Parish (Auburn) will be available.
