Mary Bernice Sigler, age 98, of La Grande, Oregon and formerly of Baker City, Oregon passed away on June 25, 2018, in La Grande. She will be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mary was born on August 24, 1919, in Unity, Oregon to Albert James and Anna (Paustian) Morgan. She attended 1st – 8th grade at Old South Fork School in Unity, Oregon. On July 15, 1946, Mary married Allan James Sigler in Baker, Oregon.

Her main occupation was being a homemaker, as well as a mother and grandmother. Mary enjoyed sewing, canning, crocheting, and spending time with family. She was a member of the Knife and Fork Club in Baker and assisted with voting booths in Baker.

Mary is survived by her son, Larry Allan Sigler and his wife Pam of Clatskanie, Oregon and her daughter, Sharon Eileen Stream and her husband Ron of La Grande, Oregon. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan James Sigler; her parents, Albert and Anna Morgan; and her 4 brothers: William Morgan, Eldon Morgan, Lincoln (Grant) Morgan and Wallace Morgan.

Memorial contributions in honor of Mary can be made to Heart ‘N’ Home Hospice through Gray’s West & Company Pioneer Chapel at 1500 Dewey Avenue, Baker City, Oregon 97814.
