Mary’s Obituary Mary Carolyn Self, a long-time resident of the Denton area, died at home Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was born in 1928 in Madill, OK. Carolyn was a loving friend, mother, and grandmother.

She married Horace Self in 1947 and raised two children, Dana Lynn and John Steven. She loved Bible study and get-togethers with her family, and she especially loved celebrating birthdays. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Dana Dillenberg; son-in-law, Mark Dillenberg; son, John Self; daughter-in-law Jeanne Self; her 9 grandchildren, Cherise Graham and husband Jason; Michelle Reneau; David Reneau and wife Rebecca; Jonathan Dillenberg and wife Angela, Joan Moore; Stephen Dillenburg; Michael Self; Maggie Vaught; and James Self and wife Renee.

She had 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Reneau, Jonathan Dillenberg, Stephen Dillenburg, Jason Graham, James Self, and Jonathan Dillenberg Jr. Memorial gifts may be made to: Denton Bible Church 2300 E. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Denton Bible Church.
