Mary Christine Puente, 64 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 4, 2019 at her residence. Loving mother of Jack Flores and the late Marcellino Reyes; dear mother-in-law of Kelly Fredricks; cherished grandmother of Isiaha and Gabrielle Gonzalez, Aubrey Reyes and Sofia Flores; dearest sister of Joe Puente, Rose (late John) Perez, Carlos Puente, Eva Puente, James Puente and Richard Puente; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 12:30pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 119th St. and Lincoln Ave.

, Whiting with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the church from 11:30am to time of services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting. Christine Puente was born on April 14, 1954 to Joaquin and Amelia (Delgado) Puente and was a lifelong resident of Whiting. Christine had a very close relationship with God.

She loved her pets and animals and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Devoted to her family, Christine will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family, would be appreciated.
