Mary Hatfield, of East Bridgewater, died November 10, 2018. She was the wife of Gordon Hatfield, daughter of the late Robert Duroure and Pearl Campbell Duroure. Mary was born in 1931 in Buffalo, New York, lived in the Buffalo area and attended DYouville College in Buffalo.

She moved to Massachusetts with her husband and family in 1965. Her home housed seven children, nine foster children and four grandchildren over a period of years. She operated a well-known family day care center from her home.

She is survived by two children Jean O’Brien of Orange, Mass. and Richard Hatfield of Chino, Calif. and nine grandchildren.

She was an active member of First Parish church in Bridgewater where she will be honored with a memorial service at a later date.
