Mary E. Barry, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Monday May 6, 2019 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Barry. Born in Hershey on May 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late C. Raymond and Estella Bucher Witmer.

Mary was raised in Annville and graduated from Annville High School with the Class of 1949. She then went on to work for Bell Telephone, and multiple retail shops at Lebanon Plaza. Her most important job was being a mother.

Mary was a Jehovah’s Witness, enjoyed art and design, flowers and taking care of her cats. She will be remembered for her great fashion sense, frequently receiving compliments. Surviving is a daughter Cynthia Dubbs, wife of Randy of Lebanon, son Stephen Barry of Lebanon, and a granddaughter Rebecca Karli, wife of Scott Brundage.

She was preceded in death by a sister Marguerite Witmer, and brothers Victor Witmer, Chester Witmer, Warren Witmer, Harold Witmer, and Benjamin Witmer. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday May 17, 2019 at 6 PM at the Willow Apartments Community Room, 609 N. 12th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cindy Dubbs and mailed to 395 Mountville Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046 to help defray funeral costs.
