Rotterdam – Mary E. Clark, 96, passed away on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center with her family at her side. A lifelong area resident, Mary was born in Schenectady to the late Patrick and Anna Brady. She graduated from Draper High School in 1941 and went on to work as a secretary at the General Electric Company for over 30 years.

Mary was a member of the GE Women’s Club and was a very active member of the Woestina Young at Hearts. She volunteered her time at St. Clare’s Hospital and Proctor’s Theater. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Donald P. Clark, sister, Ruth Brady and one grandson, Christopher Nicholas.

She leaves behind her daughter, Patricia A. Nicholas (James), granddaughter, Kerri Nicholas (Kevin), great grandchildren, Kyle and Jack Nicholas and granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Nicholas. Calling hours will be on Saturday, June 1st from 1-3pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam.

Burial will take place at a later date at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady. Mary’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Kingsway for the loving care that they gave Mary during her time there. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s name may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church (put in memo: Food Pantry), 2850 Guilderland Ave.
