Obituary for Mary Elam O’Bannon Mary Elam O’Bannon, 85, of Marshall, VA passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019 in Warrenton, VA surrounded by her family. She was born on June 27, 1933 in Remington, VA to George and Elsie Elam. She retired from Marshall National Bank (PNC Bank) after 27 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie O’Bannon, Sr. and four sisters, Alma Rector, Betty Monis, Irene Poe and Thelma Williams. She is survived by her children, Bernie O’Bannon, Jr. of Warrenton, VA; Jeff O’Bannon and his wife Chrissy of Hume, VA; and Mary Lou Bobst of Marshall, VA; her grandchildren, Michael O’Bannon of Warrenton, VA; Lindsay O’Bannon of San Francisco, CA; Mike Loving of Rixeyville, VA; Adam O’Bannon of Woodbridge, VA; Cody O’Bannon of Hume, VA; Brandon Bobst of Inwood, WV and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, George Elam of Front Royal, VA and two sisters, Elsie Martin of Front Royal, VA and Doris Elam of Marshall, VA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 11 am – 12 pm at Royston Funeral Home, 4512 Rectortown Road, Marshall, VA, followed by a service at 12 pm. Interment will be at Leeds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marshall Baptist Church, 4121 Winchester Road, Marshall, VA 20115.
