OBITUARY Mary Ellen Beard July 20, 1920 – October 21, 2018 BEARD, Mary Ellen (Moreau) was 98 and born in Fayetteville, West Virginia. She went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2018. She was a resident of Hillsborough County for over 70 years.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ellen Mullins, parents, Angie Nettie Boyer Jackson and George Francis Moreau, brother, George Jennings Moreau, sisters, Margaret Rose Hitchcock, and Susan Tilly Noble. She is survived by her loving husband, Malcolm, to whom she was married for over 70 years; son, Thomas Beard and wife, Joyce; her brother, Joe Harrison Moreau and wife, Anne; sister, Norma Jeanne Stewart and husband, Milo, Betty Haskell and husband, James; and sister-in-law, Helen Moreau. She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School, with a post graduate year in business and attended the University of South Florida.

Mrs. Beard was a 56-year member of the First Christian Church of Tampa. She was active in the Golden Band Class and in many church circles throughout the church. She was a longtime participant in the Tampa Junior Woman’s Club, the Tampa Woman’s Club, the 39er’s Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was currently a member of Lake Magdalene Methodist Church. Visitation will be at 1 pm, with the service at 2 pm, and will be held at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home at 4207 E. Lake Ave. ,Tampa on Sunday, October 28 with private family graveside services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
