Mary Ellen King, 85, of Logansport, passed away Thursday May 9, 2019 in St. Vincent Hospital of Kokomo. Born October 5, 1933 in Harbor Springs, Michigan to the late Matthew Joseph and Henrietta (Derks) Doyle. On June 17, 1953 in Benton Harbor, Michigan she married Dr. Jay Max King who preceded in death April 14, 1991.

Mary attended the Cross Wind United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Susie (Paul) Rexroth, Auburn, IN; three sons, Jay Doyle (Peggy) King, Logansport; Rick (Tammy) King, Royal Center; Russell James (Diana) King, Sun City Center, FL; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One brother, James Doyle, preceded in death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday May 14, 2019 in the Cross-Wind United Methodist Church with Pastor Nick Robinson officiating. A burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery near Royal Center, IN. A visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm Monday May 13, 2019 in the Cross-Wind United Methodist Church and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
