OBITUARY Mary Ellen James November 23, 1931 – January 26, 2019 Mary Ellen James was born on November 23rd, 1931, in San Angelo, Texas, and passed away in Wichita Falls on January 26th, 2019, at the age of 87 years. She is the daughter of Donald McKenzie and Ethel Hagelstein McKenzie. A legal secretary for most of her life, she moved to Wichita Falls in 1968 from New Foundland, Canada.

She enjoyed sewing, arts, crafts, doll making, quilting, and was active in Daughters of the Confederacy. She married Jerry O. James in June 1959, and he preceded her in death in 2007, along with brother: Bill McKenzie and sister: Betty Murphy. She is survived by sons: David James and wife Kay of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Randy James of Wichita Falls, and Kevin James and wife Catrina of Krum, Texas.

Grandchildren left to cherish her memory are Michael James, Melissa Crabtree, Cammy James, Chriysta James, and Devin James and six great grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 1st, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 11 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
