Mary Ellen B. Baird, 71, of Liberty Twp. , passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital, in Youngstown, Ohio. Mary Ellen was born September 20, 1947, in Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Mike John and Anna (Thomas) Storti.

Mary Ellen graduated from Mohawk High School in 1965 and from Youngstown State University in 1969, with a B.S. in Education. She taught in the Youngstown Public Schools, and also substituted there, and in the Girard Public Schools and the Liberty Local Schools. Besides her loving husband, Andrew, of 47 years, she leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Storti, of Mercer, Pa.

, her sister-in-law, Sally R. Baird, of New Bern, NC, three nieces, a nephew, and the couple’s lifelong friends, Robert and Sylvia Russ. Mary Ellen loved hockey and collecting autographs and leaves behind many friends in the Pittsburgh and Columbus area, who enjoyed doing the same things as her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 1:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
