Mary’s Obituary Mary Faye Patton, 78, passed away surrounded by loving family on Friday, March 1, 2019. Faye was diagnosed with diabetes at 11 years old and lived with the disease for 67 years with no complications as well as earning an award from the Joslin Diabetes Center for her accomplishment. She was a loving wife of 58 years to Bobby Patton, a loving sister and aunt.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents J.B. (Dock) and Sybil McPherson. She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby G. Patton; sister, Jane Mayfield; nieces, Teresa (Jackey) Pierce and Loretta White; nephew, Bennie (Carla) Mayfield; great-nieces, Shalina (Jason) Scholl and Cara Mayfield and great-nephew, Drew Mayfield; great great-nieces, Kinsley, Kiley and Kenady Scholl and great great-nephew, Cooper Moore; along with a host of family and friends. A visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 2:00pm at New Bethel Baptist Church with Brother Gary Creel to officiate. Interment will follow after at the New Bethel Cemetery.
