Obituary for Mary Givens (Patterson) Mary Eloise Givens (Little Mama) was born to Reverend James A. Patterson, Sr. and Jessie Mae Patterson (both deceased) on May 7, 1949. Mary was the third of eleven children. Mary was educated in the Public School system in Cheraw, S.C., attending Long’s High School.

She later moved to Boston, MA. , with her Grandfather Bishop Franklin E. Williams and joined in Holy Matrimony with James Givens. Mary left to grow and cherish her love through five children, Jessie Patterson, Amenia Givens, Jamie Givens, Tonya Givens and Marri Givens.

All of Boston Massachusetts. Her beloved step daughters, Kayette Young, Jumeesha Young and Louise Givens. A host of grandchildren, Aaron, Jovonne, Tony, Abimael, Dana, Kanei, Tianna, Jana, Shanei and Shanna.

She leaves 16 great grandchildren. She leaves also, two sisters, Apostle Janie Cole, (Pastor Cornelius) of Philadelphia, PA. , Deborah Patterson of Arizona.

Four brothers, James Patterson, Jr. (Deborah Patterson) Cheraw, S. C., Frank Patterson (Gulay) of Arizona, Rev. Ronnie Patterson (Constance) of Maryland, and David Patterson of California. Her deceased siblings are Louise Patterson and Dorothy Parker of New-Bern, N. C., Rev.

Dorothy Smith of Washington, D. C., Norman Patterson (Evelyn). Mary also leaves a hosts of nephews, nieces and cousins. We extend a very special thank you to Diane Young.

A Wake will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Ave. , Dorchester, MA 02121 There will also be A Viewing on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O’clock at Morning Star Baptist Church 1257 Blue Hill Ave.
