OBITUARY Mary H. Wood July 1, 1917 – January 9, 2019 Mary H. Wood passed away on January 9, 2019 at the HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado after a long and fruitful life, she was 101 years old. Helen, as she preferred to be called, was born July 1, 1917 in Linton, Indiana to Ora and Roy Price. She spent her childhood and graduated from High School in Jasonville, Indiana where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church.

Helen was always proud that she was Valedictorian of her class. Helen was a member of Grand Mesa Baptist church where she was the organist for a number of years. Later she played piano for the Sunday services at the Crossroads Assisted Living Facility where she was a resident for the past 3 ½ years.

Helen was a gifted lover of music who enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Clara of Indianapolis Indiana and her husband of 69 years Alpha J. Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Janice L. and Son-in-law Wayne W. Frame of Cedaredge.

Helen has two granddaughters, six great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church in Cedaredge, Colorado. A visitation time will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 AM service time.

A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado.
