Mary Jocelyn (Schroedel) White, 86, Overland Park, KS and formerly of Pratt and Wichita, KS, peacefully entered God’s Eternal Kingdom on November 29, 2018. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 8, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar, Overland Park, KS. leadachild.org/ , or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67206. Mary was born August 10, 1932 in Winfield, KS to Paul and Edna Schroedel. She was a graduate of Kansas State University, majoring in Home Economics Education, and later received her Masters Degree in Education from Wichita State University.

While attending K State, she met her future husband, John D. White, Jr and they were married July 11, 1954 in Parsons, KS. Mary was a teacher by trade, but her true passions were her faith and her family. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita, KS and most recently attended Bethany Lutheran Church, Prairie Village, KS.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Eva Jean Saenger. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, John D. White, of the home; 3 children, Sheril Hagler and Bradley, Gladstone, MO, Kent White and Martie, Bonita Springs, FL, and Dana Bolar and Mark, Prairie Village, KS; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Gone, but not forgotten, Mary was loved by all who knew her and we are comforted in knowing that she is now resting peacefully with her Savior.
