Obituary for Mary Jane Blackburn (Munsey) Mary Jane (Munsey) Blackburn of Maynardville was born on July 5, 1945 and passed away on April 28, 2018. She was a member of New Start Baptist Church. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Birdie (Welch) Munsey; sisters, Irene Sweet, Elsie Hobock, Juanita Cooper and Ethel Collins; brothers, Wayne, Larry, Willis, Austin and Herbert Munsey and Robert Collins; best friend and ex-husband Paul Blackburn.

She is survived by daughter, Katherine (Mark) Grimes; son, Robert (Stephanie) Blackburn; grandchildren, Brandon (Nicole) Blackburn, Matthew and Robbie Blackburn, and India (Thomas) Capps; great grandchildren, Devon, Hanna, Elizabeth and Elisha Blackburn and Kenneth Capps; sisters, Lillian Evans, Bessie Hackney and Louise Brown; brother, Glen Munsey; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Reverend Charles Munsey and Reverend Bobby Eldridge officiating.

Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018 to go in procession to Big Barren Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. Trinity Funeral Home, LLC, Maynardville, has the honor to serve the family of Mary Blackburn.
