Mary Jane (Lynch) Ponis, 86, wife of the late George E. “Duke” Ponis from Phoenixville, PA died on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on April 25, 1933 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul J. Lynch, Sr. and Mary T. (Plecenik) Lynch. She worked in sales at Gimbel’s (later Sterns) in King of Prussia for 26 years.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption in Phoenixville, PA and a member of Sierra Club. She was a generous in donating to various charities. She is survived by: Daughter, Mary Lynn August and Leif Tremblay Son, Jack Ponis and wife Ann Son, Chris Ponis; Daughter, Susan Porter and William Chomiak 5 Grandchildren: Jessica August, Ken August, Korrine Porter Day, John Ponis, and Melissa Ponis.

7 Great-grandchildren: Skylar, Noah, Averi, Duke Levi, AJ, Ava, and Alyssa. Sister, Margaret Ann Drum. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Levi Tremblay and brother, Jack Lynch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 9:00 – 10:00am In lieu of flowers contributions may be made St. Mary’s Franciscan Shelter, 209 Emmett Street, Phoenixville, PA.
