OBITUARY Mary Jane Willits September 21, 1921 – November 26, 2018 Born September 21st, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Thomas Ewart Miller & Grace Coleman. Mary was the middle child of three girls; Collene Gribben the oldest, Lowetta Lee Shelby the youngest. All are deceased.

She attended Central High School & graduated from Northeast High School in 1940. Charles Willits was a football star for the Norsemen & she was a member of the Norket Pep Club & drum majorette in the school band. Charles & Mary Jane married in July 1940 before he was deployed into WWII & was sent overseas with the 45th Division of the Army.

They had two daughters, Charlene W Argiros & Patsy Willits. Mary Jane was a stay at home Mother until her daughters were in their teens. She went to work at Southwest Bell for a few years then went to work at the First National Bank in the Investment Securities/Safe Keeping Dept & retired in 1984 after 25 years.

They were members of Scissortail Sam’s & Shrine Motor Home Club. They spent a lot of time traveling winters in Yuma, AZ & Harlingen, TX. Their favorite travels were in the mountains of Colorado.

Mary Jane was a member of Le Junta Review Club & Daughters of the Nile Shrine. Her favorite times were spent with her daughters. She enjoyed parties, movies, exercising & dancing especially the Young Men’s Club.

Also Church activities at First Christian Church. She read her Bible every day. She is survived by her daughter Charlene W. Argiros, Corpus Christi, TX, husband John is deceased & Patsy Willits of Sherman Oaks, CA.

When her husband lost his eye sight she volunteered with him at the 45th Museum Gift Shop. Her life was wrapped around her two daughters & husband. He died after they had been married sixty-nine years Feb.

2nd, 2010. He was the love of her life.
