Obituary for Mary Jean Noblett Nixa, Missouri wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend Mary Jean Noblett’s laughter and love did not end as she entered into paradise and into the arms of Jesus on December 3, 2018. We imagine a triumphant welcome as this was the home going of a precious angel whose life was marked by selflessness and love for all who knew her. Although it is difficult to say good-bye we take comfort in the unwavering faith and love for God and her Savior she lived.
Mary Jean would say, “Don’t cry for me. I will be waiting here for you when we meet again”. The Lord has turned her darkness into a light that will forever shine from heaven above.
Mary Jean was born in Cherokee, Iowa on January 22, 1941 to Don William and Harriet Sarah (Lockwood) Harreld. She was one of nine Harreld children and the fifth in a line of honorable brothers and sisters she loved dearly. She worked at St. Mary’s and had the prestige of caring for Ernest Hemingway and playing cards with him in her free time.
There she met David. W. Noblett who became her best friend and husband. They married in Stewartville, Minnesota June 14, 1964.
David was the absolute love of her life. Their daughter Diane Marie Noblett was born April 16, 1965. Their son Matthew David Noblett was born on January 2, 1971 in Rockford, Illinois.
Her dedication to her family was and will always be her greatest joy in life. Her hearty was full with six beautiful grandchildren and a great granddaughter. These children were her pride and joy and she boasted of her love for them to everyone.
Survivors include her husband David W. Noblett of Nixa, Missouri, children Diane Marie Noblett-Trujillo and husband Joe of Tucumcari, New Mexico and their five children Matthew David Trujillo and wife Kelsey of Ozark, Missouri, Jessyka Christine Trujillo and Joseph Shinners of Portales, New Mexico, Mary Jean Trujillo of Portales, New Mexico, Lenora Caroline Trujillo and Jose’ Aramando Trujillo II both of Tucumcari, New Mexico, her son Matthew David Noblett and wife Lisa and his child David Matthew Noblett of Springfield, Missouri. Her Sisters Dorothy Aanestad (Bill) of California, Marie Hanson (Gary) of Portland, Oregon, June L. Prouty (Bob) of Rochester, Minnesota, Dallas Harreld (Theresa) Sacramento, California, Dick Harreld (Theresa) of Spring Valley, Minnesota and special cousin Susan Willson (Wayne) of Rochester Minnesota. She is also survived by brother-in-law Deane L. Noblett (Barbra) Tucson, Arizona and Duane P. Noblett (Susan) of Manhattan, Kansas and her beloved Pastor Reverend Charlene Dart (Dan)of Monett, Missouri.
Mary Jean is also remembered by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and her beloved church family she cherished with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents Don William and Harriet Sarah Harreld, brothers Jack Harreld, Monty Harreld, and Bill Harreld, precious mother-in-law Lenora Caroline Noblett and father-in-law Leroy Cecil Noblett. Funeral services to celebrate the gentle, kind and loving life of Mary Jean Noblett will be held on December 8, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Cassidy United Methodist Church with the Reverend Charlene Dart officiating services.
Internment will take place following services at Weaver Cemetery in Ozark, Missouri. A potluck dinner will be served following the graveside services at the church. Visitation will precede services from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Cassidy United Methodist Church.
