Justine Lubrich Jan. 24, 1924 – Feb. 22, 2019 Mary Justine Jam was born January 24, 1924 in Minot to Joseph and Delia (Gessner) Jam.

She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from St. Leo Catholic High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Joseph Lubrich in Minot on April 22, 1947. They made their home in Minot and raised their six children.

Nicknamed at an early age, her family and close friends knew her as “Pudge” or “Pudgie Joe”. She loved gardening, bird watching and was always working on a jigsaw puzzle. She was true to her Catholic faith.

She had a gentle spirit and made each of her family members feel as if they were the most important. She will forever be in our hearts. Blessed be the memory of Mary Justine Lubrich, 95, of Minot, who died peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019 at an assisted living facility in Minot.

Justine is survived by her children, Constance (Robert) Wetzler of Minot, Mary (Frank) Benoit of Surrey, Alice Heitland of Fargo, James (Tara) Lubrich of Hager City, WI and John (Joni) Lubrich of Spring Grove, IL; grandchildren, Valerie Lubrich of Farmington, MN; Kristina (Brent) Weber, Justina (Paul) Langhans, Andrea (Travis) McNicholas all of Minot; Mike Heitland (Michelle) and Joseph Heitland both of Fargo; Brian (Melissa) Faul of Reno, NV, Eric Faul and Miranda Nichols (Aaron Bofenkamp) both of Minot, and Zachary Lubrich of Coeur D’Alene, ID; step-grandchildren, Tami Clark of Kenmare, Teri Ell of Bismarck, Erika (Alex) Saunders of Prescott, WI, Heather Rindahl of Faribault, MN and Tyler (Kenzi) Rindahl of Menomonee, WI; 21 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson, 1 great-great granddaughter and a step great-great granddaughter; brother, Mike (Jeanie) Jam of Billings, MT; daughter-in-law, Sally Lubrich of Bismarck; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, Joseph Thomas Lubrich; grandson, Joshua Lubrich; a step great-granddaughter; sisters, Louise Johnson, Alice Toycen, and Josephine Jam; and brothers, Robert Jam, David Jam and John Jam. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot Interment of Cremains: Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry, 707 16th Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
