Obituary for Mary L. Hurley Mary L. Hurley age 91, of Upper Sandusky died at her residence on Thurs. Oct. 18, 2018.
She was born in Upper Sandusky on Apr. 29, 1927 to the late Paul A. and Esther P. (Greth) Strasser. On Apr.
16, 1947 she married George Hurley, he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1979. Mrs. Hurley is survived by her children Michael (Paula) Hurley, Patricia (James) Packer, John (Yoselda) Hurley, all of Upper Sandusky, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and a brother Paul (Bobbe) Strasser, CO.
She is preceded in death by a son Thomas Hurley, 3 grandchildren, a sister Helen Brown, and brothers Eugene Strasser and William Strasser. Mrs. Hurley was a 1945 graduate from Upper Sandusky High School. She worked at the former Westinghouse for 25 years and the former VJ Garden Center.
She was a member of Transfiguration of The Lord Catholic Church and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She volunteered at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, and enjoyed reading, flower gardening and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held Mon.
Oct. 22, 2018 from 4-6:00 p.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with a CLC service at 5:30 followed by a Catholic prayer service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tues.
Oct. 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Fr Anthony Varghese Vattaparambil OFM, Covn. and Deacon Kevin Wintersteller officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic School or Upper Sandusky Community Library in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
