Obituary for Mary L. Thibert Mary L. Thibert, 55 of Leesburg Florida passed away Thursday, November 29th, 2018. She passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with benign brain and spinal tumors. Mary was born on February 3rd, 1963 in St. Clair Michigan to Pat and Jim Schweihofer.

So many that knew her would tell her “you are the strongest woman I know and such an inspiration” her response to these comments was almost always, “it is what it is or everything happens for a reason” It never occurred to her that her strength, outlook, and just her presence, was special. She carried the weight of her disease for over 20 years and almost never complained, she found the humor in all that she could. She spent most of her energy caring for everyone else, and never wanted the attention on her.

Anyone who has ever tried to give to her or to help her anyway knows all too well that it would set her on all kinds of plans to show her gratitude, from planning a party to taking everyone out to dinner. No one could convince her otherwise. She loved angels, most likely because she has always been one.

A badass angel with a sharp tongue and a huge heart. She did not mince words and was a voice for those that she loved. Those of us who have her in their corner are so blessed.

She will always be with us, lending us her strength whenever we need it. Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, Jim and Pat Schweihofer. She is survived by, husband Joe Thibert, daughter Stephanie Thibert, siblings, John (Penny) Schweihofer, Eileen (Mark) Rumbaugh, Kenny (Joann) Schweihofer, Jerry (Ann) Schweihofer, Tony (Nancy) Schweihofer, Janet (Tony) Distelrath, Betty (Jerry) McLeod, Paul (Debbie) Schweihofer, Billy Schweihofer, father and mother in law Don and Joyce Thibert, brother in law, Don (Karen), Jerry, Bill, Jim (Alena), John (Kelly), several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews as well as many amazing friends who might as well be family.

Because Mary has so many that love her, there will be a celebration of life in both Florida and Michigan. Details will be announced shortly. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mary L. Thibert please visit our Sympathy Store.
