Obituary for Mary Lee Beamon On July 6, 1933, Mary Lee Green was born to the late Leroy Green and Snow Lee Green in the small town of Ozan, Arkansas. Growing up in Arkansas, Mary attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1949 at the age of 16. Mary soon left Arkansas to seek a different life in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met and married Mack C. Beamon Sr. in 1954.

Mack and Mary Beamon worked hard to raise Lametrea, Mack Jr. and Mark Beamon. Mary worked for Lorenz Optical Company during the early part of her life in Chicago, but she soon left secular employment to raise her family. Her life as a servant of Jehovah, began when she was baptized on April 3, 1965.

In an effort to reach more persons with the truth from God’s Word the Bible, Mary spent 13 years of her life serving as a regular pioneer. Mary loved to talk, laugh and sing. She enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends.

Mary leaves behind her loving husband Mack Beamon Sr.; her daughter Lametrea Marie Gray; her sons Mack Beamon Jr. and Mark Beamon; two sisters Earma Brice and Fressie Green Johnson; her three brothers, Willie Lee Green, James Green and Freddie Green; five grandchildren Lance Thomas, William Blackmon, Revene Beamon, Mark Beamon Jr., and Darnell Beamon; and a host of other family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leroy Green and Snow Lee Green, her sister Lillie Scott and by two brothers Leroy Green Jr. and Billy Green.
