Mary was the second daughter of John and Lola Kissinger. Her older sister Kathy currently lives in Arden Hills.

Mary is survived by her loving husband and best friend Bob (Bubba) Marshall married nearly 45 yrs, daughter Carley (Tony Sonnen) and their 5 children Hannah, Aidan, Levi, Pio and Alexander, and son John Ivor Marshall (Jen Abbott) and their two kids Vincent & Simone. Friends and relatives too numerous to mention were key to Mary’s life. She loved all of them.

Many great moments were shared. Mary was a strong Catholic girl educated at St Mark’s in St Paul, Our Lady of Peace HS and received her RN degree at St Mary’s in Mpls. Most of her nursing career was spent with HealthEast mainly at Midway hospital.

She cherished her time as a nurse proudly receiving numerous awards. Some of her career was in the ER at Midway and we heard many stories that should have been compiled in a book. We will continue to share them amongst ourselves.

Mary’s legacy will live on. It’s a sad day in St Paul to lose someone like Mary Lee but she would want us to make the best of our own lives with a smile and much laughter. Her mom Lola always told her that “We don‘t get to write the script” something we repeated many times over the past 12 years when Mary was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia.

It slowly took her away from us but her spirit was always strong to the end. That is when she decided to finish the script and take her last breath at 3:23pm on January 4th just 30 minutes after receiving the Apostolic Blessing. Please keep her in your prayers.

Special thanks to the 1st floor staff at the Willows of Ramsey Hill. Memorials preferred to All Saints Homeschool Co-op. Visitation at O’Halloran & Murphy (575 S. Snelling Ave.
