Obituary for Mary Leona Smith Mary Leona Damron Smith was born on December 9, 1934 to Mary Smith Damron and John Wesley Damron, Sr. Mary had two brothers John Damron and Wilford “Bud” Damron. Mary married her sweetheart Billie Joe Smith on December 22, 1951. They had five sons, Billy Leon (Susan), Edward Lee (Yvonne), David Joe, Kenneth Edmond, and Michael Scott.

Mary had two grandsons – Jeremy and Keith and five granddaughters – Dana, Julie, Felecia, Ashley and Khalie. She had nine great granddaughters, three great grandsons, and four great great granddaughters. Mary also had several nieces and nephews.

Mary was pre-deceased by her husband, son Kenneth, her parents, brother Bud and granddaughter Dana. Mary enjoyed painting, cooking, planting vegetable gardens and flower beds. More than any possession Mary loved Jesus and her family.
