Mary’s Obituary Mary M. Longfellow, 91, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home. She was born October 19, 1927 in Ashland, Kentucky to E.B. and Anna (Davidson) Van Hoose. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great -grandmother.

She was the office manager and bookkeeper in the family’s Wholesale Distribution business. Her interests included sewing and making numerous outfits and costumes for her grandchildren. She also painted a number of lovely scenes of nature.

Mary is survived by her children, Sandra Robinson (Edward), and Michael Longfellow (Shannon) four grandchildren, Mary-Margaret Robinson, Jason Longfellow (Johanna), Edward Robinson IV, and James Sartori and two great-grandchildren, Jace Longfellow and Ellie Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, by the love of her life, her husband of 63 years Gene Longfellow, her sister Dorothy Poteet and brother Clyde VanHoose. Services and interment at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach, Florida will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the UCF Foundation, Gene and Mary Longfellow Award (to provide beginning teachers with funds for supplies), at UCF Foundation, College of Education, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL 32816.
