OBITUARY Mary Lou Elizabeth Deyoe November 17, 1928 – October 5, 2018 Born November 17, 1928 in Schnectady New York to Phillip and Cornelia Vitch. Mary Lou Deyoe went home in peace to be with the Lord at the age of 89 on October 5th surrounded by her family after a couragous walk with cancer. Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years Bill and their children, Bill (Laura) Deyoe, Bob (Jennifer) Deyoe, and Diane (Connie) Deyoe and their grand children Ty, Tiffany, Travis, Taylor, Bobby, little Mary Lou, their great-grandchild Deziree, and numerous neices and nephews.

Proverbs 31 says, “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her, and she brings him good and not harm all the days of her life”.

Mary Lou was one of three daughters born in upstate New York. She was a beautiful and incredibly loving woman who could never tell a lie and always put her husband and family first. Her and Bill were married in 1947 at the Cobblestone church in Schnectady, and she briefly worked at the GE Plant before becoming a mother and taking to her role with love and pride.

Mary Lou moved to Tucson with her husband and two children in 1959 where she supported her husband in his demolition business, Barnett and Deyoe Contractors, and raised their children including the youngest child born in 1961. She briefly worked as a librarian’s assistant at Duffy School and a dog groomer for her sister’s business, The Poodle Palace. After Bill’s retirement, together they traveled the states and the world, including Australia and Russia.

Her favorite place to visit was Italy, the home of her Grandparents, Lamatala, Italy. Mary Lou touched many lives here on earth, and there are so many others considered “adopted” kids that it is impossible to list them all. Mommy will be forever remembered as a beautiful, loving, good and kind daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, and wife of noble character.

Services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery on Friday, October 19, beginning at 11:00 AM.
