Obituary for Mary Louise Boggis Mary Louise Boggis, nee Hill, a longtime resident of Glenview, passed away August 30, 2018 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo. Mrs. Boggis was born in St. Joseph County, Michigan, was a graduate of St. Camillus School of Nursing, Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan, earned her undergraduate degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC, and a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan.

She did public health nursing in Detroit, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. The last 23 years of her career she worked as a school nurse in the Evanston (IL) Elementary School District 65, eleven years of which she was coordinator of nurses. Mrs. Boggis was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society; she was awarded an honorary life membership in the National Congress of Parents and Teachers and was president of the Illinois Association of School Nurses from 1968-70.

Mrs. Boggis’ husband, Leo V. Boggis, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, James Joseph ”Joe” (Linda) Casey, grandson Aric Joseph (Krystal) Casey; great grandchildren, Hunter Patrick, Kaydence Elizabeth, Kalianne Rose, and Savannah Lynn Casey; two nieces Shirley (Ben) Olson of Wisconsin Dells and Nancy (George) Warren of Delton, MI. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold (Anne) Hill of Kalamazoo and Frank (Lucille) Hill of St. Joseph, MI; and her first husband, James W. Casey.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Road, Glenview. Family and friends will meet for funeral mass Saturday, September 8, 208 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 3535 Thornwood, Glenview. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
