Mary Sutton Shirey, 58, of Oil City went tenderly into the arms of the Lord Sunday March 10, 2019 at home with her family. Her long battle with end stage renal failure and complications associated with it has finally ended. She was born December 20 1960 to the late William (Bill) Sutton and Constance (Connie) Delahunty Myers and her step-father Donald Myers.

She graduated from Oil City High school in 1979 and went on to get her nursing license from Venango Technology Center. She worked at different local hospitals for a number of years. She married her soulmate Randy H. Shirey on September 14 , 1991 in North Carolina where they lived until September of 1997 with their children.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents James and Edna Delahunty of Oil City her uncle Carl and wife Rosemary of Dyer, IN and her uncle Paul Carlson of WV. She was also preceded in death by her mother in law Beverly Repman with whom she had a tight bond with. In addition to her husband she is survived by an aunt Barb Carlson of WV.

, her uncle Ron (Pete) Delahunty and wife Mary Lou of Pittsburgh, her uncle Richard (Dick) Delahunty and wife Sue Ellen of NC. She also leaves behind her sister Lisa Wilt and husband Bruce of Kershaw , SC. nephews Robert and Nickolas Hollobaugh of Oil City and a very special great nephew Dayton Hollobaugh of SC.

Her children Tara Shirey and partner Curtis of Oil City and Tabatha and husband Tom McMurdy of Rouseville. Also left behind to feel the pain of her death are grandchildren Dallis, Josh, Mikey, Enzo and Nicolle of Oil City and granddaughters Lilly and Kinlee of Rouseville. Her beloved dog Sassy as well as those she considered family from dialysis are left behind as well.

There will be no viewing. Family will announce the Celebration of life at a later date. Any memorial contributions are asked to be made to Reinsel Funeral Home , 116 Bissell Ave.
