Mary Mathieu of Irving, Texas July 7, 1924 – March 20, 2019 Mary Mathieu, 94, an Irving resident since 1959, died in Carrollton, Texas on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on July 7, 1924 to Curtis Henry and Grace Ione (Andrews) Roden. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Tommy Roden and Johnnie Smith; and grandson, Michael Mathieu (January 8, 2018).

Survivors include: her husband of nearly 70 years, Bernis J. “BJ” Mathieu; children, Sammy Ray Mathieu of Gordon, and Sharon Kay Clifton of Irving; three grandchildren: Nathan Mathieu of Marietta, Georgia, Gabriel Clifton of Ft. Stockton, Texas and Michael Clifton of Chicago, Illinois; eight great grandchildren: Austin, Ryder, Nolan, and Abel Mathieu, and Austin, Casey, Verity and Amina Clifton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas 75060.

Grady King will officiate.
