OBITUARY Mary Montenegro May 10, 1927 – September 19, 2018 Mary Montenegro, age 91, passed away September 19, 2018. Mary was born in 1927 in Mexico. She married her husband Ramon in 1945 and the couple came to Kansas in 1947.

The couple moved to Denver in 1949, where they raised their 8 children. After being a stay at home mom with her children Mary went to work at the Brown Palace Hotel in 1963 as a maid and later a supervisor, she worked there until her retirement in 1989. Ramon passed away in 1978 and Mary supported and took care of herself.

Mary is survived by her children: Ray Montenegro, George Montenegro, Theresa (Randy) Jaramillo, Alicia Montenegro, Blanca Anvari and Nancy Montenegro (Lonnie); 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ramon, son Mario Montenegro and daughter Linda Chavez. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1-4pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:30am in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace.
