Mary Patricia (Jackson) Wilson departed this life on September 21, 2018. She was born to Peter Melvin Jackson, Sr. and Bucilla Leana (Bonner) Jackson on December 22, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Monumental Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and served as president of the Jr. Usher Board through her teen years.

Prior to her illness she had been a member of Central Heights Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro since1991. She was consecrated as one of the church mothers on February 7, 2016 and served on Home Missions. Mary leaves loving, cherished memories for her husband of thirty-seven years, Eddie Wilson, their three sons, Nathaniel Edward Powe (Lori), Robert Paul Powe, and Shawn Michael Powe (Tara), as well as two grandsons, Nathaniel Edward Powe, III, and Judah David Powe.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and a younger brother, Paul William Jackson. She leaves surviving siblings, Dorothy Louise Young, Peter Melvin Jackson, Jr. and Rita Delores Harris (Keith), from Pittsburgh, and Arlene Avery Lindsay of Goldsboro, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
