OBITUARY Mary Regina Newman Johnson January 17, 1925 – September 21, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Mary Regina Newman Johnson passed away at home in Missouri City, Tx surrounded by family on September 21. She was 93. Mary was born on January 17, 1925 in Wichita, KS to Andrew Newman and Mary Edith Walker Newman.

She attended Cathedral High School and went on to work for Shell Oil where she met and married her husband of 66 years, Howard Johnson. They went on to have five children, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her faith was the glue of the family.

She loved a big Christmas surrounded by mayhem and laughter. She never tired of hearing what was happening in everyone’s life. Summertime often brought large family vacations or a trip to the family beach house in Galveston.

Her gentle nature and laughter will be greatly missed. She is survived by children Barbara Grant, Doug Johnson and wife Dee Dee, Christopher Johnson, Peter Johnson, Cyd Johnson and Carmel Bradbury; grandchildren Sara Broussard and husband Donovan, Matthew Grant and wife Reyna, Catherine Wright and husband David, Spencer Johnson and wife Jolie, Erin Forbes and husband Clayton, and Camryn Johnson; great-grandchildren Emilie Broussard, Audrey Broussard, Ava Grace Broussard, Elise Broussard, Natalya Grant, Bryn Grant, John Matthew Grant, Adler Grant, John Michael Wright, Ada Wright, Margaret Johnson, and Elliot Forbes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Johnson; parents Andrew and Mary Walker Newman; sisters Margaret Newman, Virginia Shay, Jeanne Fangman, and Rosemary Gard; brothers Edward Newman and Jack Newman; and son-in-law John W. Grant.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Laurence Catholic Church, located at 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. , Sugar Land, Texas 77479.

, with interment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
