Mary is survived by her children, John Muldoon of South Bend,IN, James Muldoon of Fishers, IN, Kathleen (Tom) Fox of Walkerton, IN, Debra (Joe) Johnson of Granger, IN, MaryLou (John) Baulo of Boca Raton, FL and Joseph (Lee Ann) Muldoon of Indianapolis, IN; twelve grandchildren: Shannon Doyle, Erin Thompson, Daniel Fox, Adam Johnson, Rachel Sheeley, Anthony, Mandee and Angela Baulo and Katelyn, Paul, Andrew and Sarah Muldoon: as well as 16 great grandchildren and one brother, Clem (Peggy) Smith of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by brothers Bob and Don Smith. In retirement, Bud and Mary greatly enjoyed US travel and antiquing for 20 years in their motor home.

They shared many memories made as part of the Gypsy Rovers travel club. Mary’s natural artistic ability was always being explored as she dabbled in painting, sculpting, cloisonné, and more. She could be found stitching yo-yos and making them into art.

Her children have a cherished collection of unique jewelry trees and wall decorations that she created each year. She cherished time with family and her grandchildren. Despite the large amount of family, she always found a way to make each one feel special and important.

Mary was a long time caregiver for hospice patients. She felt it was a special honor to be able to love and comfort people respectfully at the end of their life. Mary and Paul also benefited from the care of Hospice at the ends of their lives.

A “Celebration of Life” service for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Northside Baptist Church, 53198 County Road 9, Elkhart, IN. Mary’s grandson Pastor Daniel Fox will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.

Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN at a later date. Family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Yolanda and Cheryl for loving compassionate care and assistance during the last three months of Mary’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
