Mary Theresa Orcasitas, age 67, passed away on April 20, 2019 at her home in San Bernardino, CA due to natural causes. She was born to the late Arthur and Helen Sifuentez on October 13, 1951 in Newton, Kansas. She has one sibling, Laura.

She was married to her first husband, Robin Lynn Wright in Los Angeles, CA in 1968. They had one daughter, Veronica Lynn in 1969. She married her second husband, Tomas Orcasitas on December 26, 1975 in Las Vegas, NV.

They had two daughters Viviana and Leah Victoria. They raised their children in San Bernardino, CA. Mary Theresa Orcasitas is survived by her sister Laura (Fred) LeBlanc of Folsom CA, two daughters Vivian Orcasitas (Jesse) Dillon of Rocklin CA, and Leah Victoria Orcasitas (Kevin) Gustafson of Moorhead MN.

She is also survived by four grandchildren: Benjamin Engler, Arrianna (Stephen) Saunders, Lucas Dillon and Leah Dillon. Mary Theresa was predeceased by her father Arthur Sifuentez in 2001, by her husband Tomas Orcasitas in 2002, by her daughter Veronica Wright (Eric) Engler in 2007, by her mother Helen Sifuentez in 2015, and by her son-in-law Kevin Gustafson in 2016. Mary Theresa Orcasitas earned her GED and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University San Bernardino and her Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University in 1994.

She was an elementary school teacher for 29 years at San Bernardino Unified School District and enjoyed teaching Spanish speaking students. Her passion for helping underserved communities was evident in her career path as well as her volunteer activities. She was a member of The Way World Outreach Church in San Bernardino, CA.
