Maryann Deschaine January 21, 1953 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Maryann Deschaine 66 of Peshtigo ran into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 5, 2019, after a short and ugly battle with cancer. She was born on January 21, 1953, to the late Robert and Lorraine (Bergold) Steffen in Marinette. She graduated from Marinette Catholic Central in 1971 and had attended UW Marinette and NWTC.

On May 3, 1974, she married Joseph P. Boyle at St. Mary’s Church in Peshtigo, later divorcing. On July 21, 1989, Maryann married Ronald Deschaine in Marinette; he preceded her in death on May 21, 2016. She had worked at Schussler’s, Riverside Country Club, Everard’s, Petal Pusher, Buds N Blossom’s, Ansul, and Ariel.

She was a member of Faith Church Peshtigo where she was involved with numerous bible studies, the Field of Faith, and the Quilt Ministry, which was near and dear to her heart. She enjoyed spending time reading, gardening, walking her dog, and time on Facebook celebrating others joys and writing about what she observed. Maryann is survived by her small but loyal family: her daughter, Christine (Robert) Bettenhausen of Marinette; “adopted daughter”, Becca Hilden of Peshtigo; sister in law, Kathy Deschaine of Marinette; aunt, Marilyn Steffen of Peshtigo; special friend, Deb Madsen; many other close friends; church family at Faith; a niece; two nephews; and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Ron, she was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Faith Church Peshtigo, 350 N. Stephenson Ave Peshtigo on Friday, May 10th from 4:30-6:30pm. Funeral Services will be held at 6:30pm with former pastor at Faith Church, Archer Leupp.

A meal will follow, since she always wanted to feed you if you stopped by. Thank you to everyone at BAMC: nurses, CNAs, doctors, housekeeping, dietary, case management for all of your patience, kindness, concern, and loving care giving during these trying two and a half weeks.
