Obituary of Mary Keyser Mary Ellen Keyser passed away in the morning of February 28th, 2019 in Bethesda, Maryland. Mary was born April 8th, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of John C. and Mary Jane (Todd) Howard. Mary married John Keyser on April 11th, 1964.

As a child, she spent many summers at Klinger Lake in St Joseph County, Michigan. She was an avid water skier and downhill skier. Mary was a graduate of State High School in Kalamazoo.

Mary’s early career was as a dental hygienist. She was a devoted mother, who enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time on the water at Gull Lake. John and Mary were active in The Gull Lake Yacht Club and Mary often was part of the crew on race day weekends.

Later in life she traveled between her two residences in, Harbor Springs and Fort Lauderdale. For the past decade she took up residence in Bethesda, Maryland to be close to her daughter. Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Alyce (Gary) Corbett, two sons, Christopher and Todd (Carla), three grandchildren (Sarah Jane, Cooper and Marina), four siblings, Winn (Leslie) Ann (Walter), Andy (Susan) and Mike (Martha) She was predeceased by her husband John and her son Eric.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or The First Presbyterian Church of Richland. Services are pending and will be held in Michigan.
