Matthew “Chewy” “Imy”‘s Obituary Matthew Ryan “Chewy” “Imy” Imhausen, age 29, of Portage passed away Monday January 28, 2019. Matthew was born September 10, 1989 in Valparaiso to Bob and Kathy (Davies) Imhausen. He was a prized employee of the MonoSol Corporation in Portage.

He loved playing baseball and softball. He was active in several softball leagues. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Matthew is survived by his parents Bob and Kathy Imhausen of Lake Station; his soulmate Amanda Gough of Portage; one brother, Bobby Imhausen of New Castle; his sister, Megan (Jason Fine) Imhausen of Lake Station; his nephew, Ryker Matthew (TumTum) Fine; his grandmother, Helen “Tommy” Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many best friends. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. His funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home with Rev.

Roque Meraz officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are preferred to Matthews family to benefit the Lake Station Little League Program.
