Matthew’s Obituary Matthew B. Higgins, age 35 of Green Meadows Drive Lexington passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A celebration of Matt’s life will be held 2:00 PM Friday May 3, 2019 at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church with Rev.

Vern Peterson officiating. Matthew was born in Davidson County September 1, 1983 to Tim Vann Higgins and Sandra Richardson Higgins. He was a graduate of West Davidson High School, Class of 2001 and was employed with Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, K-9 Unit.

Surviving are his wife, Tracy Drumm Higgins of the home; his father, Tim Vann Higgins (Jaimie) of Lexington; mother, Sandra Leonard (Tommy) of Lexington; step-daughters, Alyssa Shore, Kayla Shore and Jessica Walser all of the home; step-son, Brandon Shore of the home; his K-9 partner, Arya of the home; sisters, Nacole Wood (Scott) of China Grove; Haley Higgins and Alischa St. Louis both of Lexington; close aunt, Gwen Higgins and close uncle, Randy Higgins; brother-in-law, Mike Drumm; 3 nephews, 2 uncles and 3 aunts and all of his brothers and sisters with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department.
