OBITUARY Maudie Oney September 6, 1928 – January 24, 2019 Maudie Oney (90) of Willard passed Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born September 6, 1928 in Prestonsburg, KY to the late Troy and Virgie (Smith) Shepherd. Mrs. Oney was a member of North Broadway United Baptist Church, Shelby.

She enjoyed sewing and crossword puzzles as well as was an author and artist for her family which she truly cherished spending time with. Mrs. Oney is survived by daughter: Carol Fox of Willard, 6 sons: Charles (Marcia) Oney of Verona, MO, Vernon (Shirley) Oney of McArthur, OH, Denver Oney of Verona, MO, Bobby (Connie) Oney of Willard, Timothy (Andrea) Oney of North Fairfield, and Troy (Amanda) Oney of Pittsburg, MO along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother: Robie (Bertha) Shepherd of Spartanburg, SC, and 4 sisters: Ethel (Marshal) Hicks of Shelby, Marie Fletcher of Shiloh, Thelma (Gary) Lynch of Spartanburg, SC, and Geneva (Charlie) Bailey of Hippo, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Oney in 1980, daughter: Hester Mae Oney, sister: Gladys Shepherd, brother: Arthur Shepherd and 2 infant brothers: Paul and Curtis.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Lindsey Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio 44890. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial Contributions may be made to North Broadway United Baptist Church through the funeral home.
