Maxine A. Kienert-DeGodt, age 83 of Clarkrange, TN formerly of Waupaca, WI passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Maxine was born on October 10, 1935, the daughter of the late Merle and Harriet (Tarr) Plowman in New London, WI and was a 1953 graduate of Waupaca High School. After her high school education, Maxine was united in marriage to Richard W. Kienert on April 22, 1955, he preceded her in death on June 23, 1998.

Maxine worked for Zwicker’s Knitting Mill until it closed and went on to futher her education in real estate. During her real estate career, she worked for ERA, Gateway and Shambeau Lyons Realty. Maxine was then united in marriage to Dennis DeGodt on October 13, 2012.

Maxine had an avid love for horses, especially her horse Sammie, she was an excellent cook, and enjoyed painting, her house on the river, snowmobiling, and camping. Maxine is survived by her husband, Dennis DeGodt of Clarkrange, TN; children, Mark (Karen) Kienert of Wisconsin Rapids; Cheryl (Steven) Roberts of Marshfield; David (Kathy) Kienert of Waupaca; Brian (Anne) Kienert of Oshkosh; Robert (Stacey) Kienert of Waupaca; step-children, Amy (Bruce) Johnston of Texas; Michelle DeGodt (Matt Hartwig) of Waupaca; grandchildren, Cara (Nick) Abts, Cassie Kienert (Zach Sauer), Erik Thompson (Tanya Riggs), Josh (Tiffany) Kienert, Ben Kienert (Alisha Trinrud), John Kienert, Beth Kienert (Steven Kling), Alissa (Cameron) Looker, Tyler Kienert (Gabby Avery); step-grandchildren, Holly Johnston; Finn DeGodt; great-grandchildren, Felix, Iris, Jace, Aiden, Kaylie, Levi, Chase, Piper; sister, June (Arnold) Krause; sister -in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn (John) Smith; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Kienert; and granddaughter, Kelsey Jo Kienert; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, LaVerne (Avis) Kienert; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter (Edna) Kienert and mother-in-law, Adeline Ayres.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca, WI. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
