Obituary for Maxine Connard Reaves Print Maxine Connard Reaves, 78 of Fort White, FL, formerly of Dermott, AR went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Maxine passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her home in Fort White, FL. Maxine was born on March 2, 1940 in Fair Oaks, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Arvis and Ilar Davis Connard of Dermott, AR; one brother: Eugene Connard of Lake Village, AR; and one grandchild: Kersha Arrington of Bismarck, AR. Maxine is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Charles H. Reaves, Sr. of Fort White, FL; four children: daughter, Renae Donaldson of Fort White, FL; son, Chuck (Libby) Reaves of Bismarck, AR; daughter, Vicki (Larry) Allen of McGehee, AR; and son, Ricky (Mandy) Reaves of Trenton, FL; brother: John (Nadine) Connard of Monticello, AR; sister: Margaret Knight of Monticello, AR; sister, Lisa (Michael) Golden of McGehee, AR; 6 grandchildren: Kaleb Ballinger, Brianna Donaldson, Jalen Allen, Taylor (Jeffery Jr.) Partain, Dylan Allen, and Samantha Reaves; and 4 great-grandchildren: Destin Christmas, Scianna Arrington, Ally Knowles, Jeffery Partain III; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special sisters-in-law: JoAnn (Don) Stringfellow and Louise Spurlock; one brother-in-law Richard Reaves; and a special loved one, Lisa (Norman) Rowe. Maxine loved family and spent many working years caring for children as a Certified Child Development Associate becoming lovingly named as “Mawmac”.

Before changing careers to child care, she spent many years managing Murphy’s and later Bargain World in Lake Village and Dermott. She loved gardening and being outdoors. Visitation will be held 12 – 1:30 pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR.
